DIDIER DROGBA believes Chelsea NEED Jose Mourinho back.

According to The Sun Sport News
The striker’s old club is fast approaching the end of the most turbulent and frustrating season in its history.

Despised interim boss Rafa Benitez leaves the Blues in a few weeks and legendary hitman Drogba has joined the fans in urging ‘Special One’ Mourinho to “go home” and rebuild the side in his image again.

Drogba, 35, said: “Jose needs to come back. He is a winner, he is close to the players. He went to Inter and is now at Real Madrid but he is still talking about Chelsea so he loves this club.

“The fans want him back. I think for the club it is the best solution to bring Jose back because you want to rebuild a team and to give them the strength we had before.”

Mourinho, 50, wants to work in England again and last week returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time since his departure six years ago — to watch Brazil play Russia.

He won back-to-back Premier League titles with the Blues and an FA and League Cup double only to leave after a fall-out with owner Roman Abramovich.

Drogba added: “If he is thinking about bringing him back he has his reasons. I don’t think he has got over Chelsea and they haven’t got over him.

The veteran even hinted he could be tempted to make an emotional return to Chelsea should Mourinho do so.

He said: “Let me finish at Galatasaray first and then we will talk about that. It would be nice, not just coaching but to help the club.

“I gave everything for that club and of course they gave it back to me.”
